CSR Activities
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the funding and grants process under which Non-profit Organisation (NGOs) can get financial and other support from the cooperate sector. Under the companies act, 2013 it is mandatory provision to provide a contribution of 2 percent of the average net profits of companies.
CSR is required and applicable according to Sub-Section 1 of Section 135 of Companies Act, 2013. The company also has a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board.
The fund provided under Corporate Social Responsibility are for social development issues and make a positive impact on the living standards of the economically poor and disadvantage people of society so they can live a productive and dignified life.
The CSR is a corporate initiative to assess and take responsibility for the company’s effects on the environment and impact on social welfare. CSR is related to efforts of companies for environmental protection and promotes.
AARNA Foundation works on projects for CSR activities are given below:
Jeevandaan:
In this project Aarna Foundation provides help through providing nutritional food to people suffering from TB or Cancer. Nutritional food can help ease the suffering of such patients however; they lack access to proper source of nutritional food. Aarna Foundation bridges this gap by supplying those in need with right kind of nutritional value of food. This helps patients to live their life and there by getting ‘Jeevandaan’
Annadaan:
Aarna foundation provides food for underprivileged people. These are the people who struggle to manage even one single meal per day and live below the poverty line with no roof or food security to fall back on. Aarna Foundation aims towards ‘zero food wastage’ and utilize the surplus food for feeding the needy. This work is carried out under ‘Annadaan’ project.
Vidyadaan:
Aarna Foundation is involved in providing education to more than 950 kids across 5 Slum area and 2 schools. These children are taught the importance of education, values skills, basic knowledge, English speaking and much more. Several centers of Vidyaa-daan (the donation of education) are set where these sessions are conducted at frequent interval and free of cost. Also you can donate stationary items to underprivileged students.
